Almost enough signatures have been gathered to put an eminent domain initiative on the statewide ballot.

Opponents warn it could stifle some economic projects. Mississippi Farm Bureau says it is collecting nearly 1,000 signatures a day on petitions.
A bureau spokesman says the required number of signatures has been obtained in three of the state's five former congressional districts.
