Underwear thief sought in Lafayette County

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspect who has been stealing women's underwear from homes in Oxford and Lafayette County.

Oxford Police Chief Mike Martin tells the Oxford Eagle that about a dozen incidents have been reported in the city and county since July. Martin says no one has been hurt in the incidents.

Martin says only underwear or lingerie has been taken in the burglaries.

Martin says most of the burglaries have been during daylight hours at apartments and homes.

He says the local Crimestoppers is offering the reward.
