JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Two accused killers were back in a Hinds County courtroom Thursday morning. 18-year-old Dante Evans and 23-year-old Bennie Gunn were arraigned on armed robbery charges. The laundry list of charges during their crime spree include several armed robberies, 3 armed carjacking's in Jackson, plus the armed robbery and shooting a father and his young son at the e.com lodge on I-55 north.

The two men face charges in a string of violent crimes including gunning down delivery man, William Morris September 10th at the Super Saver convenience store. With capital murder charges hanging over their heads, the pair could face the death penalty or life in prison.

Shackled and dressed in red jumpsuit's to indicate their capital murder status, the men had nothing to say following their latest court appearance. Their attitudes were much more subdued than when they were first arrested in Neshoba County following an attempted kidnapping and carjacking.

Accused child killer, Cortney Franklin also faced a judge Thursday. He is charged with capital murder in the death of 3-year-old Montgomery Wallis. The child died from head trauma. Franklin was babysitting the child for his girlfriend when the incident occurred.
