18-wheeler runs off I-20 avoiding drunk driver

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) - A truck driver was trapped in his vehicle almost two hours, after he ran off Interstate 20 in Vicksburg this morning. The accident occurred around 10:30 where I-20 passes over Old Highway 27.

Police say a drunk driver was driving west in the eastbound lane of I-20. The 18-wheeler swerved to miss the pick-up truck and wound up below on the railroad tracks.

Both drivers are hospitalized. No word on their conditions.
