Madison Co. officials investigate a murder

MADISON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Sheriff's officials are investigating a murder in Madison County.

Sheriff Toby Trowbridge tells WLBT that a body was found around 11:45 Thursday night on Way Road near Highway 16.

The victim had been shot to death and has been identified as 35-year-old Willie L. Jones of Canton.

No other details were given.
