Firefighter's respond to lawn fire

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson fire fighters responded to a grass fire earlier Saturday afternoon.

They were called to the 2100 block of Thousand Oaks off Highway 80.

The home owner says she was in the den when she just happened to look out of the window and saw smoke. She then noticed an orange flair in her back yard and called the fire department.

"So I got up and went and came to the door went outside to look and the back yard was on fire," said homeowner, Ella Adams.

Adams says smoke got in the house, but the house is ok. The exact cause of the fire is not known at this time.
