Teen charged with manslaughter in the death of a school teacher

Jackson, MS (WLBT) - The teenage driver involved in a two-vehicle crash that killed a Madison-Ridgeland Academy teacher has been indicted by a Hinds County Grand Jury. 

Court records show 19-year old Ethan Van Sice of Jackson is now charged with manslaughter in the death of Leigh Anne Ward.  The deadly wreck happened August 17, 2010 on River Thames Road in Jackson.  Witnesses said Van Sice appeared to be speeding when his vehicle crashed into Ward's car.

    One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
    Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.
