Grass fire sparked near Savanna Street

JACKSON, MS (WLBT)-  A grass fire was spotting burning right next to I-55 near Savanna Street earlier Friday.

No structures appeared to be threatened, but the Jackson Fire Department dispatched several trucks to the scene to get it under control.

A burn ban remains in effect for the entire state as the dry conditions continue.
