JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A teenager is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after a late night shooting in south Jackson.
The shooting happened around 11 o'clock Friday night in the 300 block of Heritage Place off Sherbrook Drive.
There 18-year-old Miketwon Jordan had an altercation with 21-year-old Bracey Coleman Jr. According to JPD Officer Colendula Green, Coleman shot Jordan in the head and chest.
Jordan is in a local hospital and his injuries are considered life threatening.
The shooter fled the scene on foot, but was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Bracey Coleman Jr. is the son of former Jackson Police Chief and most recently former Canton Assistant Police Chief Bracey Coleman Sr.
