JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - When the Mississippi State Fair begins this week, live music will be included in the admission price.
Last year's fair took all the entertainment indoors to the Mississippi Coliseum, with $5 tickets for main stage music. This year, the majority of the musical acts in the Budweiser Pavilion on the midway are included with fair admission.
The Clarion-Ledger reports Hank Williams Jr. is the only separately ticketed entertainment draw.
State Fair Commission Executive Director Billy Orr says last year people who attended shows at the coliseum left without going to the fairgrounds, and he doesn't want that to happen again.
The fair begins Wednesday and runs through Oct. 17.
