Jackson man injured in early morning shooting

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An early Saturday morning shooting in Jackson sent one man to the hospital. Shots rang out on central street and rose street near Poindexter Park around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green said the man got into an altercation with another man when trying to seek a ride home. Several shots were fired into the air and a bullet struck the man in the leg. When Jackson Police arrived on scene they found him lying injured in the middle of the street. No arrests have been made.
