Second drug suspect captured after Brandon manhunt

BRANDON, MS (WLBT) - Authorities say they have now captured the suspect who escaped a marijuana drug bust Thursday in Brandon.

Mississippi Highway Patrol officials say 22 year old Isaac Espino from Mexico was arrested just before 10:00 Monday morning in Brandon behind a church on Highway 80.

On Thursday, a routine traffic stop on I-20 eastbound turned up some 200 pounds of marijuana. The passenger was arrested, Espino escaped on foot, sparking a manhunt.

He is now charged with felony drug possession and felony drug possession in a stolen vehicle.
