Hattiesburg woman's body found inside cemetery - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
NEW AUGUSTA, Miss. (AP) - The Perry County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a Hattiesburg woman whose body was found inside a cemetery.
Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith tells WDAM-TV that the body of 59-year-old Alyne Yvette Carson was found Wednesday at Hollimon Cemetery north of New Augusta.
Smith says Carson's vehicle was parked outside the cemetery. A cause of death hasn't been released, but says a weapon was found near the body.
