Transportation company to maintain headquarters in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, MS (WLBT) - LeFleur Transportation will keep their Ridgeland headquarters open to run their other locations in four other states. 

On Tuesday, the company announced they were shutting down handicapped service temporarily in the metro area. They will still operate limo service in the area on a limited basis. 

Mike Ford, chief financial officers says, "We can serve our clients better in other states as well by allocating our resources to other states so we made a decision although a different decision to shut some of our services here in Mississippi down temporarily and we finally anticipate the opportunity to come back here and continue to serve Mississippi ." 

In the last two years, LeFleur Transportation had become a mostly private operation, offering services to nursing homes and adult day care facilities.
