JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - For the second time in four days armed thieves rob a business and escape with the cash register.

Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green said two men dressed in black entered the Stiros Liquor Store just before 9:30 Friday night.

The business is located in the 1400 block of Gallatin Street.

Investigators said the two held the owner of the business at gunpoint while they raided the safe.

They then took the entire cash register and fled north on Gallatin Street.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are trying to determine if there is a possible connection with Monday night's armed robbery.

Two men fitting a similar description held up the Subway restaurant in the 2900 block of Lynch Street.

Four customers inside were also robbed.

Police said the thieves also took the store's cash register.
