JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson Police were one step closer Friday to making an arrest in the kidnapping of a Belhaven University student.  JPD issued an arrest warrant for 16 year old Jeffrey Wilson.

He is one of four men suspected of robbing and kidnapping the unidentified student as she was walking to her car off campus Wednesday.  Authorities said this surveillance video shows two of the suspects using the victim's credit cards at a clothing store at Metrocenter Mall.

Friday Belhaven University President Dr. Roger Parrott released a letter to faculty, students and parents.  It addressed the frightening incident and immediate changes to security around campus.

"We responded very rapidly.  We take this incredibly seriously.  We're going to do the right thing.  We added five new what we're calling security escorts.  These are out on the street.  We appreciate our neighborhood association and the Jackson Police Department allowing us to actually take our security officers onto the streets," said Roger Parrott, Ph.D.

Belhaven University is offering a $5,000 reward with anyone with information leading to the arrests of the men involved.
