Simpson County judge gets complaints for hiring a family member

SILVER CITY, MS (WLBT)- A complaint has been filed against a Simpson County judge for hiring a family member. Charlene may of Silver City filed a grievance against Chancery Judge Larry Buffington with the Mississippi commission on judicial performance.

May alleges Buffington hired his brother as a prosecutor in four counties dating back to 2000. She says her reason for bringing this out is because the public needs to know.

Buffington faces David Shoemake in the November 23rd runoff.
