CANTON, Miss. (AP) - Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest says a mother of 5 charged with the death of her newborn will face a bond hearing Monday.
Guest tells The Clarion-Ledger that 41-year-old Shelia Ealey of Flora was indicted by a grand jury on a charge of capital murder.
Ealey is accused of shutting her newborn inside a suitcase while he was still alive and leaving it near a Flora church in July.
Ealey has been free on a $35,000 bond since her arrest.
It was not immediately known whether Ealey has an attorney.
