RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A well known outdoor archery business on Horseshoe Circle went up in flames.

Firefighters responded quickly.  Due to a lack of hydrants in the area they were forced to haul in water.

The nearest hydrant was located blocks away.

Reservoir Fire Chief, Scott Berry, said they knew where the house was and knew they had limited resources regarding water to extinguish the fire.

Emerson's Outdoor Store and Repair Shop had been in business for 20 years according to the owner.

"When you look there is nothing left. No it's pretty much gone. I gotta start over. Ain't no fixin this. It's gone," said owner Jerry Emerson.

Emerson also said embers from a nearby pile of trash he was burning ignited the blaze.
