Woman accused of killing infant to appear in court Monday

FLORA, MS (WLBT) - The Flora woman accused of killing her newborn is expected to appear in a Canton courtroom for a bond hearing Monday morning.

Forty-one 41-year-old Sheila Ealey has been free on a 35,000 bond since July.

Ealey is accused of shutting her newborn child inside a suitcase while he was still alive. She then left the suitcase near a church in Flora. Autopsy results in the child's death have been returned, but will not be made public until they are presented in court.
