GRETNA, La. (AP) - A Mississippi woman has been accused of passing counterfeit money at a New Orleans-area riverboat casino.
State police say an investigation began in late August after $560 in fake money turned up at the Boomtown Casino in Harvey. Warrants were later issued for two suspects.
Troopers say 1 of the suspects - 27-year-old Brandy Rowell of Carriere, Miss. - was picked up during a traffic stop on Nov. 19 and extradited to Louisiana. She was booked with forgery and theft.
State police are seeking a 42-year-old Carriere man.
