HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Bond has been set at $3 million for Travis Brown, who's charged in the Nov. 14 shooting of three University of Southern Mississippi football players.
Brown appeared Monday before Forrest County Justice Court Judge Vanessa Jones. Jones set bond at $1 million on each of three counts of aggravated assault. Three other people are charged as accessories in the case.
Players Martez Smith, Tim Green and Deddrick Jones were shot outside a Hattiesburg bar after a night of celebrating their win over 25th-ranked Central Florida.
The shooting left Smith paralyzed from the waist down.
