JACKSON, MS (WLBT) A hearing scheduled for later this month could lead to the permanent closure of a Jackson nightclub.
The hearing for Chuckie's Lounge is set for November 30th.
City officials consider the nightclub a public nuisance, But the club's owner, Charlie Thomas, tells the Clarion-Ledger that some of the city's allegations are groundless.
A bar patron was killed back in June, which prompted the city to file suit against the bar.
The city closed the bar in August, a move Thomas said placed a financial burden on his family.
Between March 2009 and July 2010, the suit says Jackson Police were called more than a 100 times to the nightclub.
