FLOWOOD, Miss. (AP) - A second Leland woman has died from a Saturday wreck in Flowood.

Officials say 63-year-old Bernadine "Bonnie" Amos died Monday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was a third-grade teacher at Leland Elementary School and wife of Washington County Supervisor Jesse Amos.

Flowood Police Chief Johnny Dewitt says a vehicle driven by Bonnie Amos was headed north near the Jackson International Airport, but veered into a southbound lane and hit a pickup.

Bonnie Amos' mother and passenger, Eva White, died shortly after the crash.

The crash injured the pickup driver, Steven Manor of Clinton, and the other three passengers in Amos' vehicle, including Leland Alderwoman Mala Brooks and her mother, former Mayor Barbara Brooks.
