OAK GROVE, La. (AP) - State police say a 10-year-old girl died in a one-vehicle crash in West Carroll Parish.
The News-Star reports the accident happened Tuesday morning on North Old Kilbourne Road, about two miles north of Oak Grove.
Troopers say a car being driven by 34-year-old Chasity McGaha of Oak Grove ran off the road and struck a tree in the area of the front passenger door.
The driver's daughter, Zoe Ann McGaha, was riding in the front seat. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the West Carroll Parish Coroner's Office. Trooper say the girl was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Chasity McGaha has been cited with careless operation, no seat belt and failure to restrain a child.
