Former MHP spokesman dies

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A retired veteran law officer in central Mississippi had died. Eighty-eight year old Tom Sadler spent 30 years with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, serving as MHP spokesman in later years.

Sadler then served as sheriff of Yazoo County for 10 years before retiring.

Sadler passed away Monday at his home in Bentonia. He leaves behind his wife, Helen, of 63 years.

Services are Friday at 11:00 at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City.
