JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - With the temperature hitting 80 degrees Thanksgiving day, families flocked to the Jackson Zoo for a free outing.
Families took advantage of the incredible day to get outside and enjoy the zoological park.
For some, it was a new way to celebrate the day. For others, it provided a unique chance to take their children and share fond childhood memories.
Members of a Taiwanese family, now living in Hattiesburg said their favorite part of the zoo was the train ride.
Admission was free to everyone and there are a number of exciting events on tap at the zoo for December.
Rosy, the baby giraffe, will celebrate her first birthday December 8th.
The zoo family has a special treat in store for Rosy and visitors are invited to the birthday bash.
