Actor Leslie Nielsen dies at 84

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Actor and comedian Leslie Nielsen has died.

The master of pratfalls and parody died at a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Nielsen was being treated there for pneumonia. The Canadian-born actor was known for several comedic roles, including the hapless doctor in "Airplane" and the accident-prone detective in the "Naked Gun" series.

Leslie Nielsen was 84 years old.
