New Alcorn State president selected

ALCORN, Miss. (WLBT) - Alcorn State University has a new president..

The Board of Trustees of the state institutions of higher learning announced the unanimous decision Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. Christopher Brown will take the helm at Alcorn State Univ.

Dr. Brown currently serves as Executive Vice President and Provost of Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Brown starts the job at Alcorn State Univ. in January.
