PRUVIS, Miss. (AP) - Lamar County authorities are hoping an autopsy will aid in identifying the body of a man found along some railroad tracks north of Purvis.
Sheriff Danny Rigel says the man's body was found Wednesday by a Norfolk Southern train crew. He says the body was in a ditch about 20 feet off the tracks.
Rigel says the autopsy would determine the time and cause of death. He says the victim had suffered "visible" trauma.
