Fire kills two brothers

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A house fire claimed the lives of two brothers in Jackson Wednesday night. It happened on 323 Julienne Street.

The blaze completely destroyed the trailer home occupied by 43-year-old Rickey Liddell and 42-year-old Anthony Liddell.

Grieving family members say Ricky died trying to save his brother, Anthony.

"To me, they were good guys and you know, them my brother-in-laws and I love them, you know, it's a sad day for me and the family," Ray "Peter" Cole, brother-in-law.

Investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause of the fire, but family members tell us they believe a hot plate or smoking in bed is to blame.

The men had lived there more than 10 years.
