JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Police hope surveillance video will lead them to a robber who used a rifle in a Jackson convenience store heist.
It occurred around 4:30 Sunday morning at the Raceway Fuel convenience store at 5785 Highway 18.
Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green said a man in camouflage entered the store to purchase a candy bar and walked away as if he were going to get other items.
That's when investigators said he suddenly turned around and pointed a rifle at the cashier.
He is described as a black male with a light complexion about five feet five inches tall and 135 pounds.
The man fled in a small dark colored vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
