JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Christmas Fest comes to the Mississippi Museum Of Natural Science.
The grounds have been transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with beautifully decorated Christmas trees and twinkling lights.
Children were in awe as they struck up conversations with puppeteers and explored the exhibits of the museum. A north pole post office was set up to ensure letters made a quick trip to Santa Claus and the elves.
Organizers of the Fifth Annual Parents and Kids Magazine Christmas fest expected two thousand people to visit tonight.
"It's a time where you can see, hear, smell and taste Christmas. We've got the apple cider, crisp weather, beautiful lights and music. It's a time to have an experience. Our theory is that's what bonds families together," said Gretchen Cook, editor of Parents & Kids Magazine.
The three day festival continues Saturday from 5-8 p.m. It only costs $1.00 to get in.
