ALABAMA (WLBT)- The attorney for an Alabama man charged with killing his two children says his client plans to plead not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Twenty-seven-year old John Deblase, was charged with murder after a body discovered in north Jackson County was determined to be that of his son, three-year-old Jonathan Chase Deblase.
Deblase's attorney maintains that his client is innocent, and that his common law wife, Heather Leavell-Keaton, is responsible for the murders.
She is being extradited to Mobile from Kentucky where she was arrested last week. Meanwhile the search continues for the body of John Deblase's other child, five-year-old Natalie.
