JACKSON, MS (WLBT)- The Ja-Tran transit advisory committee voted unanimously not to endorse any changes in the bus service.
The committee met before a packed crowd early Saturday morning. Members discussed a list of proposed route and time changes riders might encounter in the future. One of those proposed changes includes cutting Ja-Tran service on Saturdays.
During the meeting, ATU union local 1208 president Alphonso Burns filed a motion requesting that the committee not make any changes in bus service or staff. The motion was then approved by the committee.
