Elizabeth Edwards laid to rest

NORTH CAROLINA - (WLBT) - Elizabeth Edwards was laid to rest Saturday afternoon in North Carolina.

A private burial followed the public funeral at a Raleigh church.

Former Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards arrived with their three children.

Their oldest daughter, Cate, spoke at the service along with several of Mrs. Edwards' close friends.

She will be buried next to her oldest son, Wade, who was killed in a car accident in 1996.
