Man suspected of killing wife and turning gun on himself - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Police say two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide this afternoon in Jackson County.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd, deputies were called shortly before 2 p.m. to the 71-hundred block of oak cove drive in St. Martin.
They found 31-year-old Sara Porter dead from a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen. Her husband, 31-year-old Cedric Porter, died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Authorities believe the murder weapon was a 12 gauge shotgun.
According to the victims father the couple was having problems.
The couple had four children and they are with relatives tonight.
