Salvation Army needs help with Angel Tree program

Posted: Updated:

HINDS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - More foster kids in Hinds County can look forward to a more merry Christmas this year, but they need your help!

Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant and Hinds county sheriff Malcolm McMillin are teaming up with the Salvation Army.

They're joining forces and asking the public to help donate presents for 112 foster kids who might not receive gifts this Christmas.

Salvation Army Captain Ken Chapman has agreed to include the foster kids in this year's Angel Tree program.

Captain Chapman hopes to receive all of the donations by the end of the week.

If you'd like more information on how you can help, please contact the Salvation Army at 601-982-4881.
