
BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - A judge has set a $500,000 bond for a Brookhaven man accused of in the shooting death of his wife.
Forty-1-year-old James E. Pendleton is charged with murder in the Dec. 4 shooting death of 29-year-old Gail Pendleton.
Authorities say the shooting appears to have followed a domestic dispute.
Assistant Chief Nolan Jones says the investigation continues, but it's "a pretty clear-cut case at this point."
A grand jury could get the case early next year.
