JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An argument turned violent Friday evening when three women were struck by a vehicle.

Jackson police are now on the hunt for the hit and run driver.

Officers responded to the scene of the motor vehicle assault around 6:30 p.m. in the 3,000 block of Bienville Drive.

J.P.D. Officer Colendula Green said the three women suffered leg injuries.

According to investigators, a confrontation took place between the women who went to the location to meet another woman.

A fight ensued, and police said one woman got into a Chevy Malibu and fled the scene hitting all three as she sped away.

No names have been released.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
