Holiday reunion at a Gulfport elementary school

Posted: Updated:

GULFPORT, MS (WLBT)-  There was a happy holiday reunion Friday at a Gulfport elementary school. Gulfport Seabee Jeff Egger, who just returned from a 10 month deployment, surprised his children at Anniston Elementary.

His wife Angie wanted to give their two young kids a Christmas surprise they would never forget. So they dropped in on their daughter Kylie's kindergarten class first, then headed down the hall to surprise their son Jayden, who's in the first grade.

Their dad has spent the last 10 months on a humanitarian deployment in Africa. He's been counting down the days for this special holiday reunion.
