Kroger recalls several brands of dog food

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Kroger has just issued a recall of select packages of pet food because it may contain an ingredient that could be fatal to dogs and cats.

Kroger stores in Mississippi along with 17 other states are involved in this recall.

Certain packages of Pet Pride Cat Food, Old Yeller Chunk Dog Food, Kroger Value Cat Food and Kroger Value Chunk Dog Food may contain aflatoxin, which is a naturally occurring toxic chemical that can lead to death. For a list of these products, click on this  link:  http://www.kroger.com

    One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
    Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.
