Jackson Police investigate early morning shooting downtown

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson Police were investigating an early morning shooting near a night club downtown Sunday.  JPD Officer Colendula Green said shots rang out just before 4:00 a.m. in the 100 block of Capitol Street.

Dispatch received a call that a man had been shot in the street.  Officer Green said a man was found at UMC with a gunshot wound to his right leg.  No word on suspects or arrests in this shooting.
