JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Former Hinds County Circuit Judge Bobby DeLaughter has been transferred to a halfway house to serve out the remainder of his prison sentence.
Traci Billingsley, with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, confirmed the move Thursday.
Billingsley would not release the location where DeLaughter is being housed. But she did say DeLaughter will complete his sentence on April 23, 2011.
DeLaughter was serving 18 months in the McCreary Federal Penitentiary in Pine Knot, Kentucky after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice. He admitted to lying to the FBI during a judicial corruption investigation.
DeLaughter was disbarred by the Mississippi Supreme Court.
