Ex-boyfriend arrested for stabbing

CANTON, MS (WLBT) - A man with a lengthy criminal record was arrested in connection with a stabbing in Canton Wednesday.

Antonio Smith was charged with domestic aggravated assault.

He was in the Madison County jail without bond Thursday night.

Investigators say 41-year-old Darlene Williams was stabbed multiple times following an argument.

She identified her attacker as her ex-boyfriend Antonio Smith.

Williams is in stable condition with no life threatening injuries at University Medical Center.
