Flooding and road closures in Metro Jackson and Rankin Co.

AREA ROAD CLOSURES AND ROADS AFFECTED BY FLOODING

JACKSON- State Street is closed at Meadowbrook Road due to flooding
PEARL- Hwy. 80 Westbound in Pearl is closed, beginning at Pearl High School

The WLBT newsroom has received calls from viewers reporting flash flooding in Jackson and Rankin County.

In Jackson the streets affected are Ridgewood Road, Meadowbrook Road, and Monument between Capital St. and Bailey Avenue.

If you notice flooded streets, you can report it to the City of Jackson at 601-960-1234.

In Rankin County the areas affected are Hugh Ward Boulevard and Castlewoods Boulevard in Brandon.
