
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police need your help in locating the man wanted for beating an elderly woman during a weekend home invasion.
It happened in the Shady Lane Drive area off Raymond Road, early Sunday morning.
Relatives of the victim say a man kicked in the door of the home around 3 A.M.. An 84-Year-Old woman in the home was beaten with a crow-bar during the invasion. The man threatened to shoot the woman if she didn't give home money.
She was hospitalized with a broken collarbone and a broken hand. The man took cash from the elderly woman before he fled. The woman stumbled to a neighbors house, where they called for help.
The man wanted in this case is described as stocky with a medium build. He was wearing a brown jacket with a scarf over his face, and a hat. Anyone with information is asked to call Jackson Police at 601-960-1234.
