HINDS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson woman faced charges she exploited vulnerable adults Thursday.
47 year old Toni Rawls was indicted by a Hinds County grand jury on two counts of exploitation of a vulnerable person.
Rawls allegedly used her position as a supervisor of an independent living program operated through Hudspeth Regional Center.
Authorities say she had two vulnerable adults under her supervision write and cash 12 checks from their personal checking accounts and used the money for herself.
