FLOWOOD, MS (WLBT) - A case involving the alleged sexual molestation of a 15-year-old will be presented before a Rankin County grand jury. Federal authorities are also involved in the ongoing investigation.
On December 22, 2010, a Flowood police officer caught 25-year-old William Crisler of Boston having sex with the teenage boy. The investigation revealed the juvenile had met 25-year-old Justin White a week earlier. Both men were charged with statutory rape and sexual battery.
Flowood's police chief says Officer Daniel Frank caught Crisler and the unidentified teenager engaged in sexual activity in the parking lot of the Flowood Library. The arrest was made around 1:00 a.m.
The investigation revealed the men met the 15-year-old through a Craigslist advertisement.
Rankin County District Attorney Michael Guest said, "In this case, because of the good police work of the Flowood Police Department, by checking out that suspicious vehicle, we now have two individuals who have been charged with felonious abuse of this child."
Flowood police seized Justin White's computers from his apartment, as well as his cell phone.
ICE agents with Homeland Security are working to seize William Crisler's computer in Boston to determine if he made contact with any other juveniles for sexual encounters.
Both men have bonded out.
