Motorcycle and car collide, killing cyclist

CARTHAGE, MS (WLBT) - An accident turned deadly near Carthage Thursday night.

It happened on Highway 35 eight miles north of Carthage near Roberts Road.

A motorcycle and car were traveling North around six pm.

The state highway patrol says the Honda cycle, driven by 46 year old James Russell Morrow of Carthage, collided with a Mercury driven by 24 year old Zackary Owens of Kosciusko.

Morrow was killed.

Owens then struck a nearby church.

No charges have been filed.
